New to the Jeep world

I used to hit up the car wash down the street 'cause my hubby had a membership, but I found out those places aren't too kind to soft tops. So now I just wash it myself at home. I'm pretty new to the Jeep game, so any tips on what to use on my soft top?

Stay clear of car washes that use brushes since they can ruin soft tops. Instead, grab a soft-top cleaner like Bestop Cleaner and use a soft brush to clean it. Make sure to rinse it well and let it air dry. After that, put on a fabric protectan like 303 Fabric Guard to help keep water and stains away.You'll want to reapply it every few months, especially if your top's been out in the sun a lot.I also swear by 303 Aerospace for waterproofing, it's like a fresh wax coat that makes water just bead up. I typicaly use it once a year at the end of summer.Plus their vinyl cleaner works great for Jeep windows and plastic parts

Do you apply the 303 Fabric Guard right after cleaning, or should the soft top dry completely first?

For sure, I totally agree about avoiding brush washes, they can really ruin a soft top in no time. I'm also a huge fan of 303 products they've worked well for me too. And you're right about timing. The top has to be completely dry before you apply Fabric Guard otherwise it won't soak in properly and can end up with uneven spots. What I typically do is give it a thorough clean let it dry for a few hours and then spray it on. You can really see the difference

For me, I just stick with gentle soap and a non-abrasive brush or sponge. A UV protectant helps keep the top from fading too.
