I'm new here and I'm considering to get a secondhand Jeep. I've never owned one before so I thought it would be wiser and more practical compared to buying a new one. All the specs and details are honestly overwhelming so I want to get insights from you guys and start with models I should avoid. Is there any models from 2018 until present that had major issues? I want to make sure I'm putting my money in the right one most especially since I'm on a budget and I want to enjoy my first Jeep!

have you heard about the death wobble? This is probably the most talked-about issue with Wranglers, and it can affect JLs too, especially the earlier 2018 models.
It's a violent, uncontrollable shaking of the front end, usually at highway speeds after hitting a bump. It's scary, but often fixable by addressing steering and suspension components (like the steering box, track bar, or ball joints).
If you test drive one and feel any looseness or shimmy in the steering, be cautious!

Some late-model Jeeps look tempting, but reliability isn't their strong suit. The 2018–2020 Wranglers (JL) had tons of recalls...steering, electronics, even engines. If budget matters, avoid those years unless you like gambling with repairs
