I'm new here and I'm looking for advice. I got a '23 Wrangler JL Sport, 2-door, 3.6L with the auto trans. It's my first Jeep and I've been doing some light trail riding, but nothing crazy. I'm starting to think about getting a winch, just for peace of mind. I'm looking at a Warn, but I'm torn between the 8,000 lb and the 10,000 lb model. I don't plan on rock crawling, but I want to be ready if I get stuck in mud or a ditch. Do I really need the 10,000 lb, or is the 8,000 lb plenty? I've got the stock tires for now and no lift. Thanks for your insights!

Welcome to Jeep life, so for your 2-door JL, the 8,000 lb Warn should handle light trails and stock tires fine, if you ever need more pulling strength, you can double it with a snatch block
